White Pumpkin Peda:
Ingredients:
- White Pumpkin: 2 & 1/2 Kg,
- Lime: 2 Tsp.
- Sugar: 1200 g,
- Water: 4 Cups,
Instructions:
- Peel the Pumpkin, Remove the seeds and soft fibrous portion,
- Cut the Pumpkin into 1 inch thick slices or the shape as you desire,
- Prick well with a fork all over the pumpkin,
- Dissolve Lime in water and pour it,
- Put the Pumpkin pieces in the water and Mix them well,
- Soak them for Overnight,
- Wash and Clean the Pumpkin Pieces till the Lime is washed away,
- Take 2 Litres of Water in a Pan and Boil,
- On Boiling add AshGuard and cook it for 25 - 30 Mins till it becomes Translucent,
- Take it out of the water,
For Syrup:
- Take Sugar and water in a Pan and Boil it,
- Now add White Pumpkin (AshGuard), Mix it gently, When Syrup gets thicken, Switch off the stove and let it rest in the Syrup for 12 - 13 hours,
- Then cook White Pumpkin( AshGuard) with Syrup slowly mixing it for another 20-30 Mins till the Syrup Thickens,
- Then take the Pieces out of the Pan on a slotted Plate, so that excess Syrup may drain out,
- Dry it for 20 - 25 hours, You can store it for more than 1 month when it is dried well,
- Then Serve it with Rabri
The Delicious, Sweet, Fantabulous, Marvelous White Pumpkin Rabdi is Ready to serve.
