There are times when we like to eat something sweet and we need it just then and we don't want to reach out to a far away restaurant for eating it and paying a hefty price for eating it. We just want it to be cooked as per our taste. It should meltdown in our mouth. The aroma should create a mindset to leave a mind-blogging experience in the time of need. Our taste buds should ask the culinary delicious cuisine to be created again and again till our stomach fills up.
On this kind of special occasions, you want to have a finger-licking and fantabulous dessert on your table and that too when it's Homemade, It makes our day double awesome. The dessert which makes our mouth watery, our eyes to feast the presentation of the dessert, Our hands to take it again and again until it is over.
This Dessert is one of its kind which will make you feel Blissed. So, we present before you, the making of Rava Kesari / Sooji Halwa/ Semolina Pudding :
Kesari / Sooji Halwa:
Ingredients:
Ravai/Sooji/Semolina - 1 Cup ( 240 mL),
Sugar - 1 Cup,
Water - 3 Cups,
Ghee (Clarified Butter) - 5 Tablespoon,
Cashew Nuts - 50 gms,
Cardamom powder - 1 Tsp.,
Coloring Agent (Food color) - 1 Tablespoon (mixed with water).
Instructions:
- Keep a Pan or Wok on the Stove,
- Add Ghee ( Clarified Butter) to it, Heat it,
- Then add all Cashew Nuts in it and fry it,
- Add Kismis after that and fry it until golden color,
- Remove Cashews and Kismis (Raisins) and keep aside,
- Add Sooji (Rava/Semolina) into the Pan and Saute it for at least 3 minutes under Medium flame,
- Then add Water to it and cook well, when it thickens, add Sugar
- Cook well by mixing it continuously to avoid Lumps,
- Then add Food color to it, Cook till the Ghee (Clarified Butter) leaves out of the Rava Kesari / Sooji Halwa at its sides,
- Now add Cashew Nuts, Kismis (Raisins) and Cardamom Powder (sweet) and Mix well once again.
- Switch off the Stove.
- Plate Kesari/pudding/Halwa in a Serving Bowl and Garnish it with the left out fried Cashew Nuts and Kismis (Raisins).
The Tasty Rava Kesari/ Sooji Halwa is ready.
