Veg Biriyani

Hi, How are you, folks? Yesterday, As we posted an article upon Home Made Biriyani Masala... To a continuation to it, We have prepared Vegetable Biriyani and added the video in our channel on YouTube.

This has been an awesome experience for me to support Multi Cuisine Cooking with the marketing efforts for her Channel on YouTube. So, what is special about this dish? There are two special things which attract people towards it is :

1) Colourfulness of the mixture of Masalas and Vegetables,
2) Homemade and Healthy Food.

So, without much ado, feast your eyes with this video :


Veg biriyani :

Ingredients:

Onion (Medium-Large) : 2 no.
Tomatoes : 3 no.
Green Chillies : 3 no.
Lemon: 1/2 piece,
Ginger: 2 inch - 1
Garlic: 6 - 7 no.
Carrots(medium) : 4 no.
Potatoes (Medium) : 2 no.
Beans: 150 grams,
Mint Leaves: 1/2 Cup,
Coriander Leaves: 1/2 Cup.
Oil: 4 Tbsp.
Ghee: 2 Tbsp.
Biriyani Masala (Home Made) : 3 Tsp.
Jeera (Cumin Seeds): 1 Tsp.
Cinammon : 1 Inch - 1,
Green Cardamom : 3 no.
Bay Leaf: 1,
Cloves : 3 no.
Chilli Powder: 2 Tsp.
Salt: To Taste,
Basmati Rice (Soaked for 30 mins and washed): 2 Cups (240 ml cup)
Turmeric Powder: 1 Tsp.

Instructions:

- Keep a Cooker on Stove,
- Pour Oil onto it, Half of the Ghee and Heat it,
- Add the masalas (Cloves, Bay leaf, Cinnamon and Cumin Seeds) for tampering. Mix well for 1 Minute,
- Add chopped Onion in it. Mix it well and allow it to cook till it becomes a little brown in color.
- Then add the diced vegetables (Carrot, Potato, Beans). You can add other vegetables such as Cauliflower and Green Peas too. Allow them to cook for 3 - 4 minutes.
- Then add chopped Mint and Coriander leaves. Mix them well and cook.
- Then add Ginger Garlic Paste and mix it well.
- Add Diced Tomatoes and Mix and cook it well.
- Then add Turmeric powder, Biriyani Masala, Chili powder, and Salt to taste.
- Then add 4 cups of Water and allow it to boil.
- Then add Lemon juice after a minute of boiling it.
- After 2 - 3 minutes of boiling, add Rice to it and stir it well and let it boil.
- Then decrease the Flames, Close the Cooker with a plate and cook the content for 10 minutes.
- Open the plate and mix the rice gently. You can see how fluffy the rice is?
- Add the Ingredients for Garnishing (Fried Onions, Chopped Coriander leaves, Mint leaves and Carrots) to the Biriyani.
- It's awesome to eat it with Curd Raitha.

Serving: 4 Adults.
